We wanted to engage with our audience over a typical activity that is often undertaken, particularly on park holidays: reading!
The audience insight
Haven’s main target market, families and the older generation, often take books to the parks with them. As they also have children and grandchildren, we could connect with them on the film versions of popular books in mainstream circulation.
We commissioned a Facebook survey asking participants what their favourite film version of a number of notable books were. To incentivise this, we offered an Amazon Kindle Fire as a prize to a lucky entrant. We followed this up with a blog post documenting the top 5 books into films as voted by the Haven readership.
We received a high level of engagement through discussions about the different titles as well as high positive sentiment around the prize offering.
